Cyber Security & Infrastructure Administrator

On behalf of Frontmatec in Kolding, we are seeking an experienced Cyber Security & Infrastructure Administrator to become a central part of IT operations in Frontmatec’s global organization.

THE ROLE
This hands-on role includes responsibility for operations, security, and troubleshooting across Frontmatec’s IT environment, covering physical servers, virtualization, backup, and monitoring.

You will be part of a dedicated team of 5 IT colleagues and 10 IT supporters, working closely with both local and international teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring IT systems with high availability – login, VPN, and accounts.
  • Proactively monitor servers, networks, and applications to identify and resolve issues before they impact users.
  • Managing backups and data protection, including daily verification and restore testing (e.g., Veeam).
  • Maintaining physical and virtual servers (VMware/ESXi) and associated infrastructure.
  • Performing patching, planned updates, and maintenance windows.
  • Supporting critical platforms such as AX2012 and BizTalk and update procedures.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure and backup issues.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with IT, network, and cyber security teams globally.
  • Escalating relevant security alerts from external SOC to Frontmatec.

 

THE CANDIDATE

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has hands-on experience with Windows Server, virtualization, and backup systems (e.g., Veeam).
  • Has 5+ years of experience in IT operations and system administration.
  • Can work independently and take ownership of daily, weekly, and monthly operations.
  • Possesses strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Has experience in cyber security operations and can follow global standards.
  • Can script in PowerShell (advantageous but not required).
  • Is familiar with ticketing systems and support processes (e.g., Freshservice).
  • Communicates effectively in English, Danish is a plus.

Additional advantages include:

  • Experience with Office 365/Intune, Meraki, Intrusion Prevention Systems, and security monitoring.
  • Knowledge of database administration and AX2012 integrations.
  • Experience collaborating with external vendors.
